Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing meso-2,3-butanediol. More particularly, the present invention relates to colon bacillus for overexpressing meso-2,3-butaediol, which is cotransformed to an expression vector including at least one nucleotide SEQ ID selected from the group consisting of the following nucleotide SEQ IDs: (a) nucleotide-coding acetoin reductase having an amino acid sequence described in SEQ ID 5 of a sequence listing; (b) nucleotide-coding acetolactate decarboxylase; and (c) nucleotide-coding alcohol dehydrogenase. The cotransformed colon bacillus of the present invention can produce 2,3-butanediol, which could not be obtained from wild species. Therefore, it is possible to biosynthesize a large amount of meso-2,3-butanediol through the biosynthesis path expression of meso-2,3-butanediol from glucose, and through metabolic flux change by means of the insertion of the genes of other species.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for utilizing relationships between places of relevance are presented. In some embodiments, a mobile computing device may obtain information indicative of a micro-place of relevance visited by the mobile device at a first time. The information may be based on measurements taken by the mobile device at the first time. Further, the mobile device may derive an attribute of the visit to the micro-place of relevance based on the obtained information and a place model that associates micro-places of relevance with macro-places of relevance.
Abstract:
A non-oscillatory rock cutting apparatus using hydraulic pressure and a method of controlling hydraulic pressure of the same. At least one element producing expansion pressure from pressure of a fed fluid is installed in a hole drilled in rock such that the expansion pressure is applied to the drilled hole by the pressure of the fed fluid. The element includes an internal tube, which encloses the outer circumference of a hydraulic pressure supply pipe, an external tube, which is located around an outer circumference of the internal tube so as to cover at least part of the internal tube, and a fixing unit, which supports the external tube and the internal tube on the hydraulic pressure supply pipe toward opposite ends of the external tube. Thereby, the non- oscillatory rock cutting apparatus using hydraulic pressure expands the internal tube using the pressure of the fluid, thereby cutting the rock without oscillation.
Abstract:
One or more mobile devices make measurements while moving along a path. Each measurement may comprise a specific group of identifiers of wireless transmitters, and strengths of corresponding wireless signals. A set of measurements are made in a sequence along a path, and the subsets of the measurements are identified for satisfying a test on a value of a measure of similarity of measurements included in the subset. A new place of relevance is identified, by comparing the just-described subsets of the measurements with similar subsets of additional measurements (e.g. by clustering). Alternatively, a known place of relevance (e.g. having a label) is identified, by comparing the just-described subsets of the measurements with pre-computed model of measurements. Also, the just-described subsets of the measurements may be compared with corresponding subsets of measurements of another path, e.g. to identify common portions therein.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a digital system. Said digital system comprises: an audio output unit, and a controller unit for controlling the audio output unit so as to output first audio information corresponding to first information including information on the owner of said digital system, whenever said digital system performs a certain function while in a normal mode when said digital system has not been lost or stolen. Said controller unit either receives said first information through a network from an external system, or reads said first information stored in an internal memory unit that is built-in so as to prevent said digital system from being separated, and performs a control so as to output said first audio information corresponding to said first information.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a vibrationless rock-splitting apparatus comprising a structure consisting of an assembly of: a hollow supply pipe having a plurality of flow holes, both ends of which have coupling portions; a flexible tube arranged so as to cover an outer surface of the supply pipe, on the outer surface of which a plurality of equidistantly arranged spacing members integrally protrude; a fastening block which is threadedly fastened to the supply pipe such that the flexible tube having a plurality of support pieces at both ends thereof is tightly fixed to the fastening block by means of fixing means; and at least one or more guide tubes arranged on the outer surface of the flexible tube to prevent the flexible tube from being outwardly exposed, thereby expanding the flexible tube using water pressure and splitting rock in a vibrationless manner.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to E. coli for overexpression of fatty acid transformed with a gene encoding enzyme involved in a fatty acid biosynthesis route, and to a preparation method thereof. E. coli for overexpression of fatty acid of the present invention has high genetic stability and allows a starting material to be introduced into the fatty acid cycle, and thus is excellent in overexpression of fatty acid.

The time stamping apparatus includes: a NAL unit classifier for checking a header of an input NAL unit and classifying the input NAL units based on a picture property; a first timestamp calculator for calculating a RTP timestamp value for a NAL unit classified as a key picture by the NAL unit classifier; a second timestamp calculator for calculating a RTP timestamp value for a NAL unit classified as a non-key picture by the NAL unit classifier; and a controller for setting a RTP timestamp value for an instantaneous decoding refresh (IDR) picture and controlling the first and second timestamp calculators for calculating a RTP timestamp value of a corresponding NAL unit.
Abstract:
A side view type light emitting diode and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. A method including (a) providing lead frames which include a cathode terminal and an anode terminal; (b) forming a reflector which surrounds the lead frames, such that portions of the cathode terminal and anode terminal protrude from both sides, and which includes a groove open in the upward direction and a wall surrounding the groove; (c) die-attaching an LED chip onto the lead frames inside the groove; (d) bonding the LED chip to the cathode terminal or to the anode terminal with a conductive wire; (e) dispensing a liquid curable resin into the groove to form a lens part; and (f) sawing the walls facing each other using a sawing machine such that the thicknesses at the upper surfaces are 0.04 to 0.05 mm, provides a side view type light emitting diode in which the thicknesses of the walls of the reflector are made to be 0.04 to 0.05 mm, for an overall thickness of 0.5 mm or lower.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pseudomonas aeruginosa strain developed for improving a fatty acid content, and a method of manufacturing the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a Pseudomonas aeruginosa transformed to an expression vector including a nucleotide coding acetyl-CoA carboxylase carboxyltransferase subunit alpha and/or a nucleotide coding malonyl-CoA-[acyl carrier protein]transacylasetransacylase of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and/or a nucleotide coding acyl (acyl carrier protein) thioesterase of Streptococcus pyogenes, and a method of manufacturing the Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Since the transformed Pseudomonas aeruginosa according to the present invention has high genetic stability and a very high content of lipids or fatty acids, the transformed Pseudomonas aeruginosa of the present invention can be useful for mass production of fatty acids.
