Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to nucleic acids, proteins, and antibodies. The invention relates more particularly to nucleic acid molecules, proteins, and antibodies of Fibroblast Growth Factor-20 (FGF-20), or its fragments, derivatives, variants, homologs, analogs, or a combination thereof.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are nucleic acid sequences that encode novel polypeptides. Also disclosed are polypeptides encoded by these nucleic acid sequences, and antibodies that immunospecifically bind to the polypeptide, as well as derivatives, variants, mutants, or fragments of the novel polypeptide, polynucleotide, or antibody specific to the polypeptide. Vectors, host cells, antibodies and recombinant methods for producing the polypeptides and polynucleotides, as well as methods for using same are also included. The invention further discloses therapeutic, diagnostic and research methods for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders involving any one of these novel human nucleic acids and proteins.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel polypeptides, and the nucleic acids encoding them, having properties related to stimulation of biochemical or physiological responses in a cell, a tissue, an organ or an organism. More particularly, the novel polypeptides are gene products of novel genes, or are specified biologically active fragments or derivatives thereof. Methods of use encompass diagnostic and prognostic assay procedures as well as methods of treating diverse pathological conditions.

Abstract:
The present invention provides novel isolated polynucleotides and small molecule target polypeptides encoded by the polynucleotides. Antibodies that immunospecifically bind to a novel small molecule target polypeptide or any derivative, variant, mutant or fragment of that polypeptide, polynucleotide or antibody are disclosed as are methods in which the small molecule target polypeptide, polynucleotide and antibody are utilized in the detection and treatment of a broad range of pathological states. More specifically, the present invention discloses methods of using recombinantly expressed and/or endogenously expressed proteins in various screening procedures for the purpose of identifying therapeutic antibodies and therapeutic small molecules associated with diseases. The invention further discloses therapeutic, diagnostic and research methods for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders involving any one of these novel human nucleic acids and proteins.

Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to compositions and methods of use for a fibroblast growth factor ("FGF"). More particularly, the present invention relates to a nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of FGF-20, and its fragments, derivatives, variants, homologs, and analogs, as well as their uses in wound healing, and prevention and/or treatment of certain diseases, including but are not limited to, stroke, radiation sickness, mucositis, inflammatory bowel disease, and inflammation (osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis).
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a nucleic acid sequence that encodes a novel endozepine-like polypeptide, NOV1. Also disclosed are antibodies, which immunospecifically-bind to the polypeptide, as well as derivatives, variants, mutants, or fragments of the aforementioned polypeptide, polynucleotide, or antibody. The invention further discloses therapeutic, diagnostic and research methods for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders involving these novel human nucleic acids and proteins.
