The cable system for use in abseiling, such as in a rescue operation, has an air bleed channel (10,17), for at least one housing chamber, opening to the outer side of the housing (9) or into a unit (28) fixed to the housing. After the air has been fully evacuated from the chambers, the opening is sealed by a closing screw (12). The sealing is a sealing ring lip assembly (34), with a rectangular cross section, with a tight fit in the drilling at the end wall (22). A sealing body with an air gap is formed with the shaft (4), with a sealing lip pressed against the shaft (4) which, in the original conditions, ends at a smaller dia. than the inner dia. of the sealing body. Pref. the ring seal (34) is of polyurethane. USE/ADVANTAGE - The unit carries the cable to be clipped to a harness for abseiling in rescue and similar operations. The structure gives a braked action on the cable unwinding, without a free fall before the braking system comes into play.

In the housing front walls is mounted a threaded spindle, whose protruding ends carry each a cable drum, to which is allocated a freely rotating drum protection (2,15) with an aperture for the cable. The cables are wound on the drums in opposite directions such that winding on one drum results in unwinding from the other one. An axially shiftable piston is in screw connection with the threaded spindle and divides the cylindrical housing into two chambers. To each drum protection is allocated a brake (11,18), with controls (10,17) setting the drum (3,14) with wound cable out of operation, at least temporarily and to swivel this drum into starting position with the cable pointing downwards. ADVANTAGE - Prevention of the cable 'whipping' and securing drum protection in preset starting position.

A body-worn physiological sensor assembly (100) having a monitor/event recorder (120), a plurality of ECG electrodes (140, 180, 182), and an interconnect device (160) disposed between the recorder and the ECG electrodes. The interconnect device is preferably disposable, and simplifies the cleaning and decontamination of the assembly after use. In addition, the disposable interconnect device (160) incorporates the primary wear surfaces for the various electrical connections.

The module retainer (1) for accommodating a functional module comprises a clamp (20) for attaching the module retainer (1) to a supporting belt (2). The clamp (20) has a first side (21) that is pivotally attached to a main structure (10) of the module retainer (1). The module retainer (1) further comprises at least one snap-fit (12) for operably attaching a second side (22) of the clamp (20) to the main structure (10) and for fixing the clamp (20) in a closed position in which the supporting belt (2) is embraced. The snap-fit (12) is designed and positioned such that it gets obstructed by a functional module (3) inserted in the main structure (10) of the module retainer (1) and secures the clamp (20) in the closed position.

Ein Heckscheibenrollo für Kraftfahrzeuge weist ein gekrümmtes Auszugsprofil und eine gekrümmte Wickelwelle auf, die in ihrem Verlauf der Krümmung des Auszugsprofils entspricht. Die Wickelwelle setzt sich aus mehreren Wickelwellensicken zusammen, die auf einer Achse drehbar gelagert ist. Der Verlauf der Achse gibt die Krümmung der segmentierten Wickelwelle wieder. Ein Federmotor ist entweder innerhalb der Achse oder seitlich neben der Achse angeordnet.
