    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject sheet, capable of improving mechanical strength in a state of held flexibility of an exothermic sheet itself and excellent in heat resistance by impregnating the exothermic sheet containing carbon fibers and pulp with a resin having a high heat distortion temperature. CONSTITUTION:The objective sheet obtained by forming a raw material containing carbon fibers (preferably pitch- or PAN-based carbon fibers which are high-elastic modulus carbon fibers) and pulp (e.g. vegetable or synthetic pulp) into the shape of a sheet and impregnating the resultant sheet with a resin having >=60 deg.C heat distortion temperature (e.g. phenolic, polyester, epoxy, vinyl chloride resin, PS, ABS resin or polyamide).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a dense powder molded body, by a method wherein a raw powder becoming non-oxide ceramics by chemicals reaction is mixed with a ceramics powder and the resulting mixture is received in a mold and an impact wave is allowed to act on the powder mixture. CONSTITUTION:A metal powder or a metal/non-metal powder becoming non- oxide ceramics by exothermic chemical reaction is mixed with a ceramic powder in an amount of 10vol% or more. The resulting powder mixture 8 is received in a mold 4 and an impact wave is allowed to act on the powder mixture 8 and a powder molded body with density of 80vol% or more (void ratio 20vol% or less) is formed under high pressure generated at this time and powder particles are activated to obtain a high density ceramic powder molded body. This powder molded body is easily subjected to chemical reaction and sintering, and is facilitated in its sintering in the next sintering process and reduced in shrinkage and the generation of a crack, and becomes homogenous.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a densely sintered body from powder by the synthesis including he highly efficient synthesis and chemical reaction of a high pressure phase material by subjecting a sample container and solid material to an shock compression while >=1 kinds of diagonal shock waves are generated by the effect of the shock waves or bombardment shock waves. CONSTITUTION:The solid material 4 extending in the axial direction is subjected to the shock compression by utilizing the shock waves generated by the collision of a high-velocity flying object 8 obtd. by utilizing the explosion of explosives 7 or the bombardment shock waves generated by the explosion of the explosives. The outside surface of the sample container 6 packed with the material 4 or the inside surface of the flying object 8 consist of >=1 planes having the positional relation to become perpendicularly diagonal to the arbitrary plane or curved surface in the vertical or horizontal direction running the central axis of the cylindrical explosive container 5 packed with the explosives 7 or the surfaces which include the curved surfaces having the tangents to become perpendicularly diagonal thereto or the composite surfaces thereof. While 11 kinds of the diagonal shock waves are formed upon the container 6 and the material 4 by the effect of the shock waves or bombardment shook waves, the container and the material are shock-compressed. As a result, the high-pressure phase material is highly efficiently synthesized.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a heating mat with a stable heating action and extremely good X-ray permeability by providing a planar heating sheet having a conducting metal foil for excitation and/or conducting paste and containing carbon fibers and pulp. CONSTITUTION:A planar heating sheet having a conducting metal foil and/or conducting paste and containing carbon fibers and pulp is provided. The planar heating sheet is obtained by mixing pulp and carbon fibers provided with a conducting metal foil and/or conducting paste. Polyacrylo carbon fibers and/or pitch carbon fibers are preferable for the carbon fibers, and the carbon fibers with different lengths of at least two or more types: length 3-5mm and length 5-10mm, are preferably used. The carbon fibers and pulp are preferably mixed at the ratio of carbon fibers 8-20wt.% and pulp 97-50wt.%. A stable heating action is obtained, excellent X-ray permeability is obtained in use for X-ray photographing, and the exposure rate can be reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject sheet having stable electrical resistance and temperature characteristics, specific thickness and basis weight by containing pitch-based carbon fibers having two or more different lengths, PAN (polyacrylonitrile)-based carbon fibers and vegetable pulp in the sheet. CONSTITUTION:The objective sheet, obtained by making 3-20wt.% pitch-based or PAN-based carbon fibers having at least two or more different lengths of 3-5mm and 5-10mm lengths and 97-80wt.% vegetable pulp, such as wood fiber or ramie, flow in water with a stirrer preferably for 10-50min, mixing and dispersing the fibers and pulp, as necessary, adding a defoaming agent, etc., and forming a sheet and having basis weight.
