Abstract: The invention relates to a diecast cylinder crankcase into which a liner (4) consisting of a plurality of cylinder sleeves is cast. Said liner (4) is produced by sandcasting and is placed in the diecasting mould. The liner (4) comprises an at least partially closed water jacket (6) which can optionally comprise cooling channels (10) in the connecting section (12).
