Abstract:
A method and a security sheet inspection apparatus is described of the type comprising at least a main driving cylinder (3), whereto a security sheet to be inspected is made to adhere, as well as an inspection system comprising at least an illuminator (5), a camera (6) for sheet image acquisition and a processing unit of said image to check sheet print quality, wherein there is further provided a sheet-feeder (2) feeding sheets from a tray (1) above the main cylinder (3) and a pair of secondary cylinders (8’, 8’’), mutually adjacent and adjacent to said main cylinder (3), to draw each security sheet from the main cylinder, to upturn it and present it again turned face down on said main cylinder (3), the three cylinders being apt to rotate and being controllable independently from one another, the cylinders and the inspection system being housed in a self-enclosed unit.
Abstract:
An inspecting system for security supports is disclosed, wherein a rotating cylinder provided with transparent sectors is apt to transport said support past an image acquiring device, and in which a transparency inspecting device is placed partially inside and partially outside the cylinder so that the electromagnetic inspecting beam is intercepted by said supports held lying onto said transparent sectors. Further, the inspecting system is provided with shading means, in the optical pattern, apt to define a cone of shade only in correspondence of sensitive elements of a camera.

Abstract:
It is disclosed a cleaning cylinder arrangement in an intaglio printing machine, comprising a cleaning cylinder (2) mounted in rotation, against a printing cylinder (3), above a recovery tray (1), and a flexible cleaning element (5, 6) consisting of a porous cloth (5) maintained in contact with a lower portion of the surface of said cleaning cylinder (2), extended at least on a 45° arc, by means of a flexible support element (6) provided with downward ink outflow openings, said flexible cleaning element (5, 6) being attached at leading and trailing edges on attachment means, one of which is adjustable in position, wherein said attachment means consist of a front holding unit (20) and a rear holding unit (21) opposed to each other in respect to a symmetrical axis (Z-Z), provided with blocking devices (20e, 21e) respectively of a leading edge and of a trailing edge of said flexible cleaning element (5, 6) and wherein said blocking devices (20e, 21e) are sliding driven at least according to different displacement axes (X-X;Y-Y) that are substantially parallel to axes tangential to the surface of the cleaning cylinder (2) by means of first and second pneumatic actuators (20c, 21c).
