Abstract:
A needle-less fluid injection device, including, a nozzle head with an injection hole for accepting a dose of fluid to be injected into the skin of a patient, a fluid capsule that is connected to said nozzle head and provides the nozzle head with one or more doses of fluid for injection, an injection head for mounting the fluid capsule and the nozzle head; including a first mechanism for releasing a dose of fluid from the fluid capsule to the nozzle and a second mechanism for injecting the dose of fluid from the nozzle into the skin of a patient.
Abstract:
An injection head, including: a nozzle with a hollow inner shaft and an injection hole at the bottom for injecting fluid from the nozzle; a plunger that fits into the shaft and is adapted to push fluid from the shaft out of the injection hole; an O-ring mounted on the plunger to seal between the plunger and the shaft while pushing the fluid out of the injection hole; wherein the nozzle with the inner shaft includes an upper part and a lower part, the diameter of the lower part of the shaft is constant and the diameter of the upper part of the shaft is equal to or larger than the diameter of the lower part of the shaft; and larger than the diameter of the lower part of the shaft at least along some part of the extent of the upper part of the shaft.
Abstract:
A needle-less fluid injection mechanism, including: a nozzle head for accepting a dose of fluid to be injected into the skin of a patient; a plunger that is adapted to be pushed into the nozzle to inject the dose of fluid from the nozzle; a hammer that is adapted to be thrust at and to collide with the plunger to cause the release of a first amount of fluid from the nozzle at a high pressure and then to release the rest of the fluid from the nozzle by continuing to push said plunger at a lower pressure until injecting the entire dose of fluid.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for iontophoretic transdermal delivery of a non-peptidic polymeric cosmetic or therapeutic agent or of a polypeptide useful for delivery of high molecular weight cosmetic or therapeutic agents. Particularly, the present invention relates to a system comprising an iontophoresis device comprising a pharmaceutical composition comprising a non-peptidic polymeric cosmetic or therapeutic agent together with a peptide, polypeptide or protein and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier having a pH below or above the isoelectric pH of the peptide, polypeptide or protein.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to intradermal and subcutaneous needleless jet injections of compositions and methods and apparatus for delivering desired substances to targeted layers of the skin, while avoiding needle injuries to the treated subject. In particular, the present invention relates to methods of repairing cosmetic defects such as skin contour irregularities.
