The composition for oral application with a pleasant flavour, not exciting tissue in the oral cavity in principle, contains the active amount of sodium laurylsulphoacetate playing role of a surface active agent in a purified form, containing less than 18 weight percent of components causing pollution. This composition also contains a part of non ionic amphoteric compound used for foaming improvement of the above mentioned sodium laurylsulphoacetate, playing role of surface active agent and for the subsequent lowering of tissue exciting.

A toothpaste or dental gel composition contains an amount of a synthetic linearly viscoelastic cross-linked polymeric thickening agent, a dental brightening agent, humidifier, water and another common additives and, optionally fluoride ions. A pH of the composition ranges from 4 to 9 wherein the said polymeric thickening agent contains the synthetic linearly viscoelastic cross-linked polymeric thickening agent with elasticity or retention modulus G' and viscosity or loss modulus G'' in aqueous solution having 1 percent concentration being weight-independent from frequency ranging from 0.1 to 10 radians per second and with a minimum value of G' 100 Pa. This value varies by less than one index in respect to the previous value thereof and with a G''/G' ratio ranging from 0.05 to 1 providing that the said cross-linked polymeric thickening agent contains the groups derived from carboxylic, phosphonic, phosphinic or sulphonic acid or the group derived from the acid salts or compounds thereof. The agent is gained out of 3 percent by weight of the cross-linked agent containing at least two ethylenically unsaturated groups or, at least two groups being reactive with the attached reactive groups in the polymerisation chain of the said polymeric thickening agent having a molecular weight ranging from 1 000 to 1 000 000.
