Abstract: Apparatus (10) is provided for determining the position of a head (17) of a viewer relative to a screen (11) which is illuminated by a plurality of light sources (12a, 12b) to the screen (11) providing a plurality of real images (13a, 13b) displaced one from another and each being associated with a corresponding one of the light sources (12a, 12b). The apparatus (10) includes a detector (16) for detecting light reflected from the object (17) and a computer (15) for determining from which light sources (12a, 12b) the reflected light originates so as to determine signals indicative of location of the object (17) relative to a light field established by the real images (13a, 13b).
