PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing for a mounting portion of a tail part rotary wing improved in comparison with a conventional one which has problems on reliability of the bearing continuously used under load and speed conditions peculiar to a helicopter. SOLUTION: This angular contact ball bearing 30 has an inner ring 32, an outer ring 34 and balls 24 disposed therebetween, and belongs to a tandem set 40 of the angular contact ball bearing 30 comprising the balls 24 having intervals therebetween by a slug ball separator 10. A surface of the outer ring 34 is not chamfered. Ball-to-ball separation between two balls 24 having equal diameters in contact with the slug ball separator 10 is about 3.2 to about 64% of a diameter of one of the balls. A bearing assembly includes an outer race having an inner surface defining a concave contour and an inner race positioned in the outer race. The inner race has an inner surface defining a bore therethrough and an outer surface defining at least one groove circumscribing the outer surface. A plurality of rolling elements is rollably located in the groove and is in rolling contact with the inner surface of the outer race. A lubricious liner has an inner liner-surface and an exterior liner-surface, the exterior liner-surface being disposed on the inner surface defining the bore. The lubricious liner has a modulus of compression of a magnitude sufficient to allow misalignment of the inner liner-surface relative to the exterior liner-surface in response to a force applied thereto.

A spherical plain bearing for a heavy haul truck strut includes an outer ring and an inner ring. The outer ring includes an outer ring core disposed between a concave spherical first bearing surface and an exterior mounting surface. The inner ring includes an inner ring core disposed between a convex spherical second bearing surface and an interior surface. The inner ring is disposed within the outer ring with the first bearing surface engaging the second bearing surface. At least a portion of at least one of the first bearing surface, the second bearing surface, the exterior mounting surface and the interior surface has a hardness greater than that of at least one of the outer ring core and the inner ring core, for providing wear and impact resistance.

The linkage apparatus includes a pivot member (26) having a head portion configured to receive by plastic deformation a bearing assembly (10) therein. The head portion defines a bore therein having a substantially cylindrical inner surface that defines an inner diameter having a first center point (XI). A stem (30) having a central axis extends from the pivot member along the central axis in a first direction. The head portion further defines a truncated arcuate (427A-427D) outer surface (427), a portion of which defines a radius of curvature (R1-R3) and a second center point (X2). The second center point is offset from the first center point in the first direction and a distance D3 between the first center point and the second center point, measured along the central axis, is in the range of up to about 33% of the radius of curvature (R1-R3).

A self-lubricating bearing assembly for a hinge of a turbine engine nozzle is described. The hinge includes a bolt and a bell crank housing. The bearing assembly includes a sleeve, a pair of bushings, liners, a thrust washer and a nut. The sleeve includes a tubular and a shoulder portion. Each bushing has an inner and an outer diameter. The liners include first liners, each bonded to the inner diameter of a respective one of the bushings, a second liner disposed between the shoulder portion and a bushing, and a third liner disposed between the thrust washer and a bushing. When assembled, the tubular portion is disposed over an outer diameter of the bolt, the outer diameters of the bushings are disposed within an inner diameter of the bell crank housing, and the nut is affixed between the thrust washer and the bolt to secure the hinge assembly.

The inner and outer race members are configured to define a raceway between them and to define a snap ring seat between them. There are cylindrical rollers in the raceway and a snap ring in the snap ring seat. The bearing may be provided as a follower head on a cam follower or may be eccentrically mounted on a drive shaft to serve as a cam. A cargo dolly may include such a cam near a wheel, to help the wheel overcome an obstacle. A bearing can be assembled by inserting the inner race member into the outer race member, disposing cylindrical rollers in the raceway and disposing a snap ring in the snap ring seat.

The plurality of balls include load bearing balls (64) and spacer balls (66). The spacer balls (66) are disposed between the load bearing balls (64). Each of the load bearing balls (64) has a single point of contact with each of the two inner and outer raceways. The load bearing balls (64) are preloaded between the outer ring (50) and the inner ring (52) at predetermined force.
