Abstract: A water dispenser including a water inlet system, a drinking water storage system, a heat-exchange water system, a refrigeration system, a heating system and a water outlet system is provided. The drinking water storage system connects the water inlet system. The refrigeration system connects the drinking water storage system and has a water cooling tank and a first thermoelectric element. The cooling side of the first thermoelectric element contacts the water cooling tank. The heating system connected the drinking water storage system has a low-temperature water heating tank and a second thermoelectric element. A heating side of the second thermoelectric element contacts the low-temperature water heating tank. The heat-exchange system connects the water inlet system, a heating side of the first thermoelectric element and a cooling side of the second thermoelectric element. The water outlet system connects the refrigeration system and the heating system.

Abstract: An elastomeric nanocomposite is produced from an isobutylene-based polymer and a layered nanofiller. The process of preparing the nanocomposite includes the steps of a) polymerizing isobutylene monomers and multiolefin monomers to produce an isobutylene-based polymer; b) completing at least one mass transfer dependent stage in the process wherein, after completion of the stage and prior to any recovery of the polymer, the polymer is dissolved in a solvent to create a polymer cement; c) contacting the layered nanofiller and the polymer solvent to obtain the nanocomposite; and d) recovering the nanocomposite. The layered nanofiller may be in a slurry prior to contacting with the polymer cement.

Abstract: A thermoelectric drinking apparatus has a feeding pipe, a cooling-gain circulating loop, a heating-gain circulating loop, an outlet pipe, and a thermoelectric heat pump. The thermoelectric heat pump has a cooling unit attached to the cold side of a thermoelectric chip, which has a cooling channel in its interior, and a heating unit attached to the hot side of the thermoelectric chip and provided with a heating channel in its interior. The feeding pipe conducts fluid into the cooling channel and the heating channel respectively. The cooling-gain and heating-gain circulating loop respectively cause fluids in the cooling channel and heating channel to create circular flows, such that the cold side and hot side of the thermoelectric chip respectively cool and heat the fluids via the cooling channel and heating channel. Abstract: The present invention provides a system, method and apparatus for improved electrical-to-optical transmitters (100) disposed within printed circuit boards (104). The heat sink (110, 200) is a thermal conductive material disposed within a cavity (102) of the printed circuit board (104) and is thermally coupled to a bottom surface (112) of the electrical-to-optical transmitter (100). A portion of the thermal conductive material extends approximately to an outer surface (120, 122 or 124) of a layer (114, 116 or 118) of the printed circuit board (104). The printed circuit board may comprise a planarized signal communications system or an optoelectronic signal communications system. In addition, the present invention provides a method for fabricating the heat sink wherein the electrical-to-optical transmitter disposed within a cavity of the printed circuit board is fabricated. New methods for flexible waveguides and micro-mirror couplers are also provided.
