Abstract:
A method is proposed for managing the detection of advertising sequences in a stream of information (112) stored on a hard drive (108) of an electronic apparatus (100), characterised in that the method comprises the steps of: analysing (122) the video information for detecting a format transition in the images associated with video information; optionally storing first address information (142) and validating a first detection condition; analysing (123) the teletext data for detecting the absence, and then the presence, of subtitles; optionally storing second address information (143) and validating a second detection condition; analysing (124) the subtitle data associated with the stream; optionally storing third address information (144) and validating a third detection condition; if at least one of the three detection conditions is validated, identifying (125) the stored address information as a transition sequence.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for encoding an image, said encoding being a mixed encoding with the possibility of using a first lossless (100) compression type and a second lossy (101) compression type, wherein said method comprises the operation that consists of dividing the image into a plurality of elementary blocks (201), characterised in that said method comprises the different additional steps of: determining which of the elementary blocks (302; 303) have a high level of detail; allocating the first compression type to each of the elementary blocks (302; 303) having a high level of detail; and allocating the second compression type to each of the elementary blocks (302; 303) not having a high level of detail.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a decoder (1) for decoding video data and subtitle data associated with the video data, said video data resulting from a data flow (F) that further comprises time references (PCR). The decoder (1) includes a storage space (3), the video and subtitle data being stored in a multiplexed form in said storage space (3), a first buffer memory (5) operating in a FIFO mode and capable of temporarily storing the video data in the form of packets (P1), a second buffer memory (6) operating in a FIFO mode and capable of temporarily storing the subtitle data in the form of packets (P3), a demultiplexer (4) for transmitting the video data and the subtitle data respectively towards the first and second buffer memories (5, 6), and a local clock (15). The storage space (3) includes a means (16) for storing the time references (PCR) so that the demultiplexer (4) transmits the time references (PCR), the decoder (1) including a means (10) for generating a presentation timestamp (PTSV) associated with each subtitle data packet (P3) that does not include a presentation timestamp (PTS), said timestamp (PTSV) being determined on the basis of a time reference value transmitted by the demultiplexer (4) and used for synchronising the presentation of the subtitle data packets (P3) relative to said local clock (15).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for securing the reading of meters with electronic displays and a computer for carrying out such a method, in which a control index (1) is added to information on a consumption index (101), the value of which depends on at least the value of the consumption index (101). Different embodiments of said method include other information with the control index, such as duration of operation of the meter and/or number of faults detected such as to increase the difficulty of interpreting the control index for anyone charged with reading the same.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for transferring data other than audio communication data from a mobile handset (C1) to a second mobile handset (C2) belonging to a wireless communication device, said mobile handsets (C1, C2) communicating with a base station (S1). The method comprises the following steps: a step in which a software application is used to encode selected data; a step in which the selected data are sent from the mobile handset (C1) to the second mobile handset (C2) using a communication field (E12) of a function, known as the intercom function, allowing the transfer of communications between the handset (C1) and the second handset (C2), whereby said handset (C1) uses a data exchange protocol authorising the transfer of data via said intercom function, the intercom function is presented on both handsets (C1, C2) and the data are transferred from the handset (C1) to the second handset (C2); a step in which the validity of the transferred data is checked; and a step in which the data are saved in a memory in the second handset (C2).
Abstract:
The cordless telephone handset comprises a processing unit (1) with which are associated a microphone (2), an earpiece (3), and a loudspeaker (5) mounted on a wall of an enclosure (7) provided with a vent (11) having suitable dimensions for forming a Helmholtz resonator with the enclosure (7).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for the broadcasting of audio and video data. In such a device, the audio/video data are transferred together and are compressed with the broadcast signaling of these same audio/video data. Currently, the compression standards increasingly compress these data. This maximum compression proportionally complicates the encoding and the decoding of these audio and video data. The use of network cables comprising six twisted cable pairs makes it possible to manufacture networks having very high flow capacities. The invention does not anticipate increasing the flow by the use of additional twisted pairs but simplifying the data passing through the network.
Abstract:
The invention increases the functionalities of a television receiver/decoder STB device by transferring a local port of the thin client device STB via a network to which the thin client device is connected. Said port is then viewed as a local port by a server device, accessible via the network to which the thin client device is connected. It is then possible to install a pilot on said server, for controlling the peripheral equipment connected to the transferred local port. The user of the thin client device can then drive, via a transferred user interface, the peripheral equipment which is physically connected to the thin client but logically connected to the server.
Abstract:
In order to maximise the availability of a television receiver/decoder housing, the invention enables the download of updates while said housing is being used. In order to do so, when the housing detects that an update is available, the housing allocates itself a portion of the acquisition resources of the update in order to store this update in a housing storage memory. Once the download is complete, the user can either activate the update or carry on using a former version of the housing application, the user thus being able to select a microcode version which is activated by default on switching on the receiver/decoder housing.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for remotely reading consumption data on electric meters in a system comprising isolated electric meters (12, 13, 14) and a consumption data processing server (8). Each isolated electric meter (12, 13, 14) is provided with a communication means (16, 18, 21) for transmitting the consumption data specific thereto via a landline or mobile telephone communication network (9). Consumption data for a plurality of isolated meters (12, 13, 14) is first transmitted via the landline or mobile telephone communication network (9) to a unit ensuring the collection and temporary storage of consumption data for a plurality of isolated meters (12, 13, 14), and the consumption data temporarily stored by said unit (23) is then jointly addressed to the server (8). The invention applies to power dispensing networks.
