Abstract: A pressure responsive inductive gauge is proposed having at least a portion of an oscillator coil, this portion determining the frequency and being located at the vicinity of a pressure responsive membrane. When the pressure acts on the membrane (12) the inductivity of the coil (13) and the frequency of the oscillator are changed. The coil (13) has a flat shape and the membrane (12) has a surface of ferrite or of a good conductor material. There are provided two additional oscillators (15, 22) of the same construction with corresponding coils (13, 20) working in identical thermal conditions, one of the oscillators operating on a fixed frequency with the possibility of measuring absolute pressures relative pressures with respect to the atmospheric pressure. The two oscillators may also be pressure dependent. In that case the pressure differential between two media may be measured. Then the output signal is then obtained by mixing. In that case, the oscillators are preferably formed as thin layer elements.

Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Bedrucken einer großen und sich insbesondere auf einem einer Druckvorrichtung nicht zuführbaren Substrat befindlichen Fläche. Das Verfahren zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass der senkrechte Abstand Az0 eines Referenzpunktes der Vorrichtung an mehreren über der Druckbahn verteilten Punkten zu der zu bedruckenden Fläche an den über der Druckbahn verteilten Punkten jeweils bestimmt und der senkrechte Abstand Az des Druckkopfes von der zu bedruckenden Fläche entsprechend einem zuvor aufgenommenen Messwert eingestellt wird. Die mehreren Punkte können dabei gleichmäßig über der Länge der Druckbahn verteilt sein. Die Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens weist eine Messvorrichtung zum berührungslosen Messen des Abstands zwischen einem Referenzpunkt der Vorrichtung und der zu bedruckenden Fläche auf. Die Vorrichtung weist weiterhin eine Steuerungseinheit zur Auswertung der Messwerte und Erzeugen von Steuerungsimpulsen für die Einstellung des Abstands Az des Druckkopfes von der zu bedruckenden Fläche auf.

Abstract: A marker device for position indication comprises an inflatable balloon (10) connected via a holding rope (18) to a safety holder (17), e.g. a spring hook, and which is releasably attached to an anchorage in order to indicate the position of persons in distress. A gas cartridge (14), which can be directly screwed into the balloon (10), is releasably detachable and includes a trigger which is operated manually or by entry of water. The complete arrangement takes up very little space and can be stored in a container which a person can carry on his body and which can be used repeatedly after the gas cartridge (14) has been exchanged.

Abstract: Rescue apparatus for boats or the like, which become damaged at sea or spring a leak, comprises a buoyancy device (10) formed by a number of inflatable floats (11 to 14) connected to each other by means of a resilient back wall (16), and which in use, are attachable outboard of the boat's hull where they extend in a longitudinal direction. The back wall (16), which consists of a resilient, rubberized artificial-fibre cloth, is mounted in case of necessity around the boat's hull (34) by means of resilient ropes (20 to 23) or the like, the stern thereby remaining partly free. The device (10) is thus held in close proximity to the hull so that any leak in the hull is sealed by the wall (16) and the buoyancy of the boat is at the same time effectively enhanced by the floats. The apparatus can be used in order to maintain the manoeuvrability of the boat for as long as possible in dangerous situations.

Abstract: 1349004 Cutting tool feed devices R SCHMIDT and E SCHMIDT 4 May 1971 [6 May 1970] 13082/71 Heading B3T Tool feed apparatus in a lathe comprises a tool guide and slide 1, 2 attached to the compound slide 9, 23 of the lathe, connecting means 3 formed by a stop rod 4 secured to the lathe frame 10 and connected to the tool slide 2 by way of a lever linkage and which is adapted to cause retraction and feed traverse of the cutting tool 2a with the slide 2 as a result of the traverse of the compound slide 9, 23, the top slide being set obliquely to the lathe spindle axis. In operation the lathe cross slide 23 is set to the required in feed position and the cutting traverse commenced the tool and slide 2a, 2 moving in the normal traversing motion and stop rod 3 sliding in its support 11 on the lathe frame 10 until a stop 5 or the rod 4 abuts a sleeve 12 through which the rod is sliding. The stopping of the rod 4 causes pivoting of lever link 19 which in turn pivots a further lever 6 against a spring 17 which releases a latch pawl 16 from a recess in the guide 1 to permit the tool slide 2 to move relative to the guide 1 and whereby continued movement of the compound slide 9, 23 due to the oblique orientation of the slides retracts the tool slide and tool from the workpiece. The direction of traverse of the compound slide is then reversed and the assembly 1, 2, is moved with the rod until the stop 7 or the rod 4 engages the spring 25 whereupon the latch pawl is re-engaged in its recess. The infeed is then reset and a further cutting traverse can be commenced. In the embodiments described the machining operation performed is that of screw cutting. Internal and external thread can be cut by changing the orientation of the slide 9 with respect to the spindle axis.
