A method of treating a cellulosic slurry to improve drainage is disclosed the method comprises adding a PEO to a cellulosic furnish in an amount of from 0.1 to 10 lbs per ton and adding a synthetic polymer to the furnish in an amount of from 0.1 to 10 lbs per ton, allowing the furnish to drain and forming a paper product.

The invention relates to a method for regulating the concentration of a treatment chemical inside a liquid bearing system, wherein the presence of the treatment chemical inside the liquid bearing system is defined by an dwell time. The manipulation of the concentration of the treatment chemical inside the liquid bearing system is determined after a time interval and the time interval corresponds to the dwell time. The concentration of the treatment chemical is manipulated by feeding freshwater and/or treatment chemicals, wherein the feeding rate of the fresh water and/or the treatment chemical is changed as soon as scaling, fouling and/or corrosion is detected. The deposit may be measured by a device for detecting deposit (8), said device comprising an ultrasonic transducer for emitting an ultrasonic emission signal (20), a detections means for detecting an ultrasonic reflection signal (21) and/or a heating means.

The invention describes a method for controlling deposit (60) formation in a liquid (5) bearing system (100) comprising a main system (1) and a subsystem (2), wherein a liquid (5) is transported inside the main system (1) and/or the subsystem (2), the method comprising the step of altering a property of the liquid (5) inside the subsystem (2) such that it differs from the property of the liquid (5) inside the main system (1) in a manner that deposit (60) formation inside the subsystem (2) is more promoted than inside the main system (1). The subsystem (2) may be designed as a bypass. The deposit (60) formation may be detected inside the subsystem (2), for example by means of ultrasound, wherein an ultrasonic signal is emitted and a reflected ultrasonic signal is detected. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Batch-Reaktor, der ein wässriges Reaktionsgemisch zur Herstellung einer Wasser-in-Wasser-Polymerdispersion durch radikalische Polymerisation enthält, wobei der Batch-Reaktor einen Rührer umfasst, der durch eine abrasive Poliertechnik behandelt wurde, oder wobei der Batch-Reaktor frei von Leitblechen ist. Ferner betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Wasser-in-Wasser-Polymerdispersion durch radikalische Polymerisation in dem Batch-Reaktor. Darüber hinaus bezieht sich die vorliegende Erfindung auf die Verwendung des Batch-Reaktors in einem Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Wasser-in-Wasser-Polymerdispersion.
