Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for continuous galvanizing of a metal strip capable of attaining an extremely low defect density for satisfying the request of a customer demanding a surface free from visual defects, and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: In the process and the apparatus for the continuous dip-coating a metal strip 1 in a tank 11 containing a liquid metal bath 12, the metal strip 1 is made to run continuously through a duct 13, the lower part 13a of which is immersed in the liquid metal bath 12 to form a liquid seal 14 on the surface of the liquid metal, and a natural flow of the liquid metal from the surface of the liquid seal 14 is set up in two overflow compartments 25, 29 made in the duct 13 and each having an internal wall which extends the duct 13 in its lower part, and the level of liquid metal in the compartments is maintained at a level below the surface of the liquid seal 14. A process is provided for preparation of an aluminum-killed medium-carbon steel sheet containing by weight from 0.040 to 0.080% of carbon, from 0.35 to 0.50% of manganese, from 0.040 to 0.070% of aluminum, from 0.004 to 0.006% of nitrogen, the remainder being iron and the inevitable trace impurities, wherein the steel contains carbon in free state, a grain count per mM2 greater than 20000 and, in the aged condition, has a percentage elongation A % satisfying the relationship: (640-Rm)/10nullA %null(700-Rm)/l1 where Rm is the maximum rupture strength.
Abstract:
An electrophoretic coating process of the surface of a sample in a bath, and a coating system, in which, during the flow of an electrophoretic current, one subjects the bath or the sample to vibrational movements so as to produce vaporous cavitations in the vicinity of the surface of the sample. The vibrations may be applied only in an initial phase of the beginning of current flow and/or only in a second phase at the end of current flow. In the system, the vibrations are generated using vibrational generators positioned in only at least one of the beginning and end positions of the container holding the bath.

The present invention relates to a device for sound-proofing a wheel, and especially a motor-vehicle wheel (1), which wheel comprises a circular central body (2), a substantially cylindrical rim (3) composed of a rear part (4) and a front part (5), the parts being separated by the plane of the body (2) which extends substantially perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis (6) of the rim, wherein it is composed of at least one panel, associated with the rim (3) and placed parallel to the wheel body (2), said panel including at least one layer of a viscoelastic material and a radial mechanical coupling means arranged at the periphery of the panel in order to be associated with at least one of the cylindrical parts (4, 5) of the rim (3).
