[Also in Division G1] In a multirange electric meter (see Division G1) there are a plurality of input terminals 109 to 114 and the separable input leads 115a carry plugs 115 which fit these terminals. One of the terminals 109, is associated with a switch 119 which is closed whenever a plug 115 is in position as shown. If a connection between the two closely spaced terminals 109 and 110 is required, an alternative two-way plug 116 (Fig. 1B, not shown), can make both connections.

    Abstract: 773,758. Door latches. SOSS MANUFACTURING CO. Aug. 19, 1955 [Nov. 10, 1954], No. 23911/55. Class 44. A latch primarily intended for use on a house or cabinet door has a face plate 13 adapted to be secured on the edge of the door and provided with an opening, a bolt 24 having a roll back 27, a bolt guide 12 secured to the face plate, a spring 25 in the guide for normally projecting the bolt through the opening in the face plate, a latch body 1 adapted to be secured to the door, a push-and-pull lever 9 pivoted intermediate its ends to the latch body and on the inside of the lever, an arm 10 having an end, bearing against the roll back on the bolt, whereby to enable the bolt to be retracted by either pulling the rear end of the lever or by pushing the forward end thereof. Two latch bodies 1 and levers 9 are provided one on each side of the door and the latch bodies are of U-shape with the lever fitting inside the U and with the surface flush with the surface of the latch body. As shown, each latch body is provided with angular bosses 8 for receiving screws 5 by which the bodies are fixed to the door by raising the lever 9 to give access to the screws. In a modification each latch body is provided with bosses adjacent the forward end of this lever and the two latch bodies are fixed together and to the door by bolts which each pass through one of the bosses on one latch body and engage a tapped hole in the corresponding boss on the other body. The latch guide is a metal pressing which is welded or riveted to the face plate 13 and it is provided with slots 11 through which the arms 10 extend to actuate the bolt.
