Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair having a reclining backrest, forward movable/tiltable seat that moves synchronously with the reclining of the back, and an adjustable energy mechanism for supporting the backrest during recline. SOLUTION: The chair 20 is provided having a base assembly including a base frame, a backrest frame 30 pivoted to the base assembly for movement between upright and reclined positions, and a seat part 24 slidably supported on the base frame and pivoted to the backrest frame so that the seat part moves forward and its rear moves forward and downward with the backrest frame upon recline. A flexible backrest is connected to the backrest frame at top and bottom locations and is provided with lumbar past supporting portion for obtaining improved lumbar force/support and shape. The seat part is provided with seat depth adjustment part and with active and passive thigh flex support part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
An integrated chair and control arrangement for tilt back chairs. The chair has a base 4, as well as a back 5 and a bottom or seat 6 which are interconnected for mutual rotation about a common axis 7. The common axis 7 is located above the chair bottom 6, forward of the chair back 5, and generally adjacent to the hip joints H of a seated user. A control supports 3 the chair back 5 and chair bottom 6 on the base 4 in a mnner such that rearward tilting of the chair back 5 simultaneously shifts the chair back 5, the chair bottom 6, and the location of the common axis l0 in a manner which maintains the adjacent spatial relationship between the common axis 7 and the hip joints l3 of the seated user to provide improved comfort and support.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a chair which is moved in the longitudinal direction along a user's back not to rub the back and produce wearing-away and discomfort feeling by arranging a chair back part and a chair seat part in such a manner that the common axis on which the above parts mutually turn is positioned adjacent to a point H, that is, a hip joint of a user. CONSTITUTION: A chair back part and a chair seat part are connected to each other in such a manner as to freely mutually turn on a common axis positioned above the chair seat part 6, in front of the chair back part 5, and substantially adjacent to a hip joint of a sitting user to limit the adjacent space relationship between the hip joint and the common shaft. The chair back part is supported on a base 4 to enable backward inclination of the chair back part. Further, the chair seat part is supported on the base to move the chair seat part on the base, so that the backward inclination of the chair back part simultaneously shifts the positions of the chair back part, the chair seat part and the common axis to keep the adjacent space relationship between the common axis and the hip joint of the sitting user and give improved sitting comfortableness and support of the user.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To impart a monolithic surface to a finished surface article to be machined cooperatively with a base coat and a protective coat by selectively curing a coating material for protection with UV rays and forming a flawless coating cover for protection on the base coat. CONSTITUTION: The base coating material 7 is applied on the semi-finished product 60 to completely cover the same and is cured by drying. The coating material 8 for protection is applied on the semi-finished product 60 in order to regulate the protected outside surface region of the semi-finished product 60. The semi-finished product 85 having the uncured coating material 8 for protection on the upper part is subjected to translational motion at a specified ratio through a UV processing device 9 and the protected outside surface region of the semi-finished product 85 is simultaneously irradiated with the UV energy. As a result, the coating material for protection is selectively cured and a protective coat which is free from flawing and has smaller gloss is formed on the base coat. The base coat and the protective are capable of cooperatively imparting the monolithic surface to the finished surface article to be machined.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new and unique structure for partitioning an open office plan by arranging a plurality of individual selfsupported furniture units supported individually on the floor of an open office. CONSTITUTION: The modular furniture comprises a working plane panel 5, and a support coupled with the working plane panel 5 in order to form a selfsupported furniture unit 4. A furniture configuration 1 includes at least one overhead 7 and at least two rigid supporting bases having lower end shaped to be jointed to a support 14 and upper end shaped to be jointed to the overhead unit 7. When the overhead unit 7 is fixed onto the furniture unit 4, a cap is removed from the working plane panel and the supporting base is jointed, at the opposite end parts thereof, to the support and the overhead unit 7, respectively. According to the structure, a unique arrangement for partitioning an open office plan can be realized without requiring conventional partition panel.
