A needleless access vial includes a vial body for storing a liquid medication. A needleless access port is disposed within an opening along the top of the vial body. A valve having a deformable body is positioned within the access port housing, and is in communication with the access port inlet section and the access port outlet section. The valve is biased toward a closed configuration, and transitions to an open configuration upon engagement of the outlet section by a needleless syringe.

A method for determining ambient air temperature outside of a vehicle with a sensor mounted on the vehicle, includes the steps of determining a road speed of the vehicle, comparing the determined road speed to a reference road speed value, if the determined road speed is below the reference road speed value, activating a device to move ambient air across the sensor, the ambient air being drawn from a location outside the vehicle, taking a temperature reading with the sensor, and, if the temperature reading is lower than a stored temperature value, storing the lower temperature reading as the ambient air temperature.

A docking assembly including a port replicating apparatus is disclosed. The docking assembly includes a port replicating apparatus including (i) a housing having a major dimension defined by a first terminal end and a second terminal end, (ii) at least one interface for connecting to a portable electronic device, and (iii) a plurality of connectors in the housing for connecting to a plurality of peripheral devices. A base is also included in the docking assembly. It is capable of mechanically coupling to at least the first terminal end of the housing of the port replicating apparatus, such that the major dimension of the housing is vertically oriented.

A system that includes a platform configured to hold a portable computer device is provided. Also, a port replicator is provided that replicates one or more computer ports of the portable computing device. The port replicator is configured to attach to the platform. In addition, the port replicator may be connected to the portable computing device such that the ports of the port replicator may be used to connect to peripheral devices instead of the ports of the portable computing device. Thus, the ports of the port replicator act as if they were ports of the portable computing device. Additionally, the port replicator is configured to be detached from the platform. The port replicator, in this configuration, can be used to support the portable computing device when the portable computing device is not being held by the platform.
