    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods of reducing the deleterious impact of a target gene in a cell, such as the deleterious activity of a mutant extended nucleotide repeat (NR) containing target gene in a cell by contacting the cell with an effective amount of a tetrahydrocarbazolamine compound. The deleterious activity (e.g., toxicity and/or dis-functionality of products encoded thereby) of a mutant extended NR containing target gene may be reduced, e.g., by reducing (and in some instances differentially, including selectively, reducing) the production or activity of toxic expression products (e.g., RNA or protein) encoded by the target gene. Kits and compositions for practicing the subject methods are also provided.

    Abstract: The various embodiments provide circuitry and methods for packing Log Likelihood Ratio ("LLR") values into a buffer memory in a compressed format which reduces the amount of buffer memory required. Various embodiments use a type of quantization which reduces the bit width of the LLR values that are stored, with the particular level of quantization depending upon the code rate of the data. The degree, pattern, and periodicity of bit width compression employed may depend upon the code rate of the received transmission. Bit width patterns use for LLR value quantization may be generated by a shift register circuit which provides an efficient mechanism for controlling an LLR packer circuit based upon the code rate of the received signal.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are described for scheduling data in an FLO system. The method may include turbo encoding the data, and dividing a packet of the turbo-coded data into a plurality of subpackets. The method may include scheduling the turbo-coded packet of data so as to distribute the data across multiple frames of a superframe, by transmitting each one of the subpackets during a different frame of the superframe to increase time diversity. The turbo-coded packet of data may comprise systematic bits and parity bits. The method may include separately scheduling the systematic bits and the parity bits during different frames of the superframe.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for dynamic packet mapping. A method is provided for mapping metric data to produce a decodable packet associated with a channel. The method includes obtaining a channel identifier associated with metric data, determining an available buffer from a plurality of buffers based on the channel identifier, writing the metric data to the available buffer, detecting when a decodable packet is formed in a selected buffer of the plurality of buffers, and outputting the decodable packet from the selected buffer. An apparatus includes a plurality of buffers and mapping logic that is configured to obtain a channel identifier associated with metric data, determine an available buffer based on the channel identifier, write the metric data to the available buffer, detect when a decodable packet is formed in a selected buffer, and output the decodable packet from the selected buffer.
