Abstract: An implementation comprising displaying to a user a presentation having sequences that correspond to spoken text that are either predetermmable or not predetermmable, combined with predetermining a set of sites in a network based upon the anticipated interest of the user of the presentation and predetermining a set of key text terms respectively corresponding to the set of sites, the selection of which terms will link the user to one of the set of sites. There is an implementation for enabling the user to select the key text terms if the terms occur in said sequences of text, combined with linking the user to the site corresponding to the selected key text term. The displayed text sequence is a corresponding audio stream of a television program or presentation.

Abstract: A system and method for providing caller information across heterogeneous networks is provided. A Name Resolution Adapter (NRA) receives a message from a destination central office which includes a caller's telephone number and a call recipient's telephone number. The NRA retrieves a call recipient contract and caller authorization entries, and identifies caller fields that the call recipient is authorized to receive. The NRA includes the identified caller fields in a message to a Service Control Point (SCP), whereby the SCP retrieves caller attributes cor­responding to the caller fields from a Line Information Database (LIDB). The SCP forwards the caller attributes to the NRA. In turn, the NRA includes the caller attributes in a message and forwards the message to the call recipient over a computer network. The call recipient processes a corresponding telephone call using the caller attributes that are included in the message.

Abstract: Systems and methods of application integration, including constructing an application integration adapter in dependence upon a profile including data describing the adapter, receiving instructions to alter the adapter, and altering the adapter in dependence upon the instructions. Embodiments of the invention include communicating integration messages among applications through the adapter as altered. In typical embodiments, receiving instructions to alter the adapter includes detecting changes in the adapter profile. In such embodiments, detecting changes in the adapter profile includes creating a copy of the profile, and periodically comparing the profile and the copy. In other exemplary embodiments, receiving instructions to alter the adapter includes receiving from an application an administrative integration message bearing the instructions to alter the adapter. In such embodiments, altering the adapter in dependence upon the instructions includes updating the profile.
