Abstract:
A sensing device comprises one or more of an activity sensor 31, a sound detector 33, a temperature sensor 32, a wired or wireless connection, a memory means and a viewing means 27 to display recorded activity using an approximately segmented circular format. The device preferably derives a colour coded from its sensed data (figure 5) and may share the colour code with a social networking application. The device may detect prescribed movement sequences and use these to trigger the transfer of sensed and derived data to a social networking application. The device preferably comprises a mounting means having an interlocking ring feature (12, figure 2). The ring may be connected to a users wrist using a wrist strap (11) or worn around the neck of a user in the form of a necklace by means of a chain (16, figure 3). Also disclosed is a device having a series of two or more approximately circular light rings (figure 4).
Abstract:
An activity system comprises an activity sensor, a wired or wireless connection and a viewing means to display the activity recorded using a time segmented circular format (figure 5). Each time segment may be broken into one or more steps representing the level of activity in that time segment (13, 14, 15). An activity target level or an average activity level may be shown on the circular format. A user preferably carries the activity sensor on their person during activities of normal daily living.
Abstract:
A cellulose reactive glyoxalated copolymer composition and methods of producing and using the glyoxalated copolymer composition to, for instance, strengthen paper or board are discussed. A glyoxalated copolymer composition includes an aqueous medium containing a glyoxalated copolymer, wherein the glyoxalated copolymer is obtained by reaction in an aqueous reaction medium of a dry weight ratio of glyoxalxationic copolymer. The cationic copolymer can have a weight average molecular weight of about 120,000 to about 1 million Daltons, the cationic copolymer can include diallyldimethylammonium halide monomer and acrylamide monomer, and a ratio a ratio of the weight average molecular weight of the cationic copolymer before glyoxalation to weight % of diallyldimethylammonium halide monomer making up the cationic copolymer before glyoxalation can be equal to or greater than 4,000 or range from 4,000 to 40,000 Daltons/weight %.
Abstract:
A cartridge for replenishing a vehicle fluid, a fluid reservoir system comprising same and a holder, a holder, a vehicle engine comprising the fluid reservoir system and a vehicle comprising said engine in which, the cartridge comprises: a housing comprising a first part and a second part; a fluid reservoir in the housing; a port arranged on the first part of the housing to couple the reservoir in fluidic communication with a fluid system of the vehicle; wherein the second part of the housing is configured to rotate with respect to the first part of the housing to secure the cartridge with respect to the fluid system to hold the reservoir in fluidic communication, via the port, with the fluid system of the vehicle, wherein the second part of the housing is configured such that rotating the second part of the housing does not rotate the port.
Abstract:
An electronic clearinghouse system (ECS) for securely delivering, retrieving, authenticating, storing, generating and distributing messages, such as financial documents and/or records are described. For message providers, the ECS can provide a secure and trusted venue for delivering messages, such as messages including financial data to their clients that reduces their delivery costs. For users of the ECS, the ECS can provide a central location where each user can receive and consolidate their messages, such as financial documents and associated financial data from a number of different financial data providers. To facilitate these functions, the ECS can include an automated system for recording delivery status as well as evidence of delivery of messages, including whether a message has been viewed by a particular user. Further, the ECS can include components for scheduling events, such as monetary transfers and bill payments, and providing reminders for such events. Also, the ECS can provide utilities that allow a user to package and securely deliver messages to other users.
Abstract:
An inhalation device comprising a base having a slot for insertion of a single blister containing a dose of medicament to be inhaled into the base is disclosed. The inhaler has a mouthpiece pivotally mounted to the base which carries a blister piercing element operable to pierce a blister received in said slot when the mouthpiece is pivoted relative to the base. When a user inhales on the mouthpiece, the dose is entrained in an airflow and flows out of the blister through the mouthpiece and into the user's airway.
