Abstract: A multifunctional medical bed is provided to enable a patient to change his/her posture by himself according to his figure easily in the state that the patients lie down and to improve convenience in use. The multifunctional medical bed includes a body portion(5), a running portion(30), an ascending/descending portion, a driving unit and a control portion(90). The running portion(30) changes direction while the body portion(5) is driven, and includes a direction control unit for changing rotation direction of the wheels(32). The direction control unit includes a rotary motor(44), a driving gear and a driven gear. The ascending/descending portion comprises cylinder members connecting a reinforcing frame and supports of a middle support of the body portion and performs ascending/descending rotation of the supports.
