Abstract: PURPOSE: A biochip comprising a phase-change layer and a method for detecting the biochip by phase change are provided to easily detect a target probe and to ensure a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A biochip comprises a substrate, electrode, phase-change layer, protection film, organic material, and nanoparticle. The phase-change layer has a chalcogenide material comprising Te, Se, Ge, Sb, Bi, Pb, Sn, As, In, Ag, S, Si, P, or O. The protection film is oxide film or nitride film. A method for detecting a biochip comprises: a step of preparing a biochip in which a fixation probe is fixed on a bio-spot of phase-change layer; a step of scattering the target probe to conjugate with the fixation probe; a step of irradiating laser light to the bio-spot; and a step of measuring the resistance between the electrodes.
