Abstract: 본 발명은 송신과 수신을 별도의 선로로 전달하는 기존의 10Mbps 이더넷 프레임 전달 방식(10Base-T)을 2가닥의 선로로 전달할 수 있도록 하는 장치에 관한 것이다.
종래의 10Base-T 이더넷은 송신과 수신을 동시에 수행하는 전이중 방식과 송신 시간과 수신 시간을 다르게 해서 전달하는 반이중 방식을 모두 지원하고 있다.
본 발명은 반이증 방식의 프레임 송신과 수신이 서로 다른 시간에 이루어진다는 특성을 이용하여 4 가닥의 선로를 사용하는 기존의 방식을 2가닥으로 전달할 수 있도록 하였다. 기존의 이더넷에서 사용하는 CSMA/CD 방식 대신 양단이 번갈아 가며 프레임 송신 권리를 가지도록 하여 충돌없이 2가닥의 선로로 송신과 수신이 이루어지도록 하는 장치를 특징으로 한다.
또한 양단이 정상적으로 접속되었는지를 확인하기 위해 송신한 링크 펄스 자신의 수신부에 입력되지 않도록 하고 상대편으로만 전달되도록 하는 링크 설정단계와 주기적으로 송수신을 번갈아가며 하되 송신할 패킷이 없으며 프리엠블만으로 구성된 짧은 길이의 토큰 패킷을 전달하는 송수신동작 단계로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 한다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for transferring Ethernet frame through 2 lines is provided to have an effect that the Ethernet frame is transferred by using only 2 lines such as a telephone line by utilizing the device used at a conventional 4 lines type Ethernet. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for transferring Ethernet frame through 2 lines includes a communication media access control processor(11), an impact control processor(21), an analog signal processor(22), a physical-layer processor(12) and a transformer(13). The communication media access control processor(11) implements Ethernet frame transmission and reception and the impact control processor(21) implements the transmission and reception by using two lines without collision. The physical layer process block(12) transmits the frame data by encoding the frame data arrived from the communication media access control processing block(11), reconstructs the original frame by decoding the received signal and performs the transmission and reception of the link pulse. And, the transformer(13) maintains the electrical insulation between the physical layer process blocks(12) and performs the function to the line impedance matching.
