    Abstract: PURPOSE: A manual water-gate opening/closing device is provided to enhance durability and limit contamination by limiting the corrosion of a water-gate and a main housing. CONSTITUTION: A manual water-gate opening/closing device(100) comprises a water-gate frame(110), a water gate(120) and a driving unit(130). The water-gate frame is installed on a waterway and consists of first and second vertical frames(111,112) and an upper frame(113). The first and second vertical frames are installed to be separated from each other and are vertically extended. The upper frame connects the vertical frames on the upper end. The water gate is installed to be able to lift along the inner surface of the water-gate frame and is formed from aluminum or aluminum alloy material. The driving unit lifts a rack gear(131) and a pinion gear by the rotation of a handle(140) to lift the water gate.

The sliding door is formed to be slid up and down along the guide groove(126) of gate door frame. The sliding door comprises a handle through-hole(132) and a height-adjusting groove. The first elastic member is installed in the gate frame and is formed to elastically move to/from the groove of the sliding door.
