Abstract: PURPOSE: A coating apparatus and a coating method are provided to easily form a film for improving durability through coating on surface of metal which is supposed to be a substrate of an electrode tap, and to improve coating efficiency for forming a film by using roll-to-roll supplying, transferring, and impregnating methods of the metal. CONSTITUTION: A coating apparatus for an electrode tap of a secondary battery comprises: an uncoiler(101), and a recoiler(102) for supplying and winding metal which is supposed to be an electrode tap. Between the uncoiler and the recoiler, a grease-removing tank(110), a first washing tank(112), a smut-removing tank(114), a second washing tank (116), a first film-treating tank(118), a third washing tank(120), a second film-treating tank(122), a fourth washing tank(124), an air shower(130), and a hot-wind direr(140)are installed in order. In upper side and inside of each treating tank, a first guide roller(103), and a second guide roller(104) of paired structure are rotatably installed.
