Abstract: The present invention relates to an oil absorbent manufactured by using leather waste and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method comprises: a step of immobilizing collagen ingredients by collecting solid waste generated in a leather manufacturing process, removing fat and mineral from the solid waste and treating the solid waste with vegetable tannin; a step of pulverizing absorbents containing the collagen ingredients by winding off the fibrous tissues of the collagen in which the vegetable tannin is immobilized and pulverizing the fibrous tissues into 5-10 mesh; and a step of manufacturing urethane foam absorbents by selecting polyurethane foam as a carrier of the pulverized collagen absorbent and making the polyurethane foam include the collagen absorbent. Abstract: PURPOSE: A production method of a bio adsorber using collagen of the animal skin, and the bio adsorber produced therefrom are provided to produce the bio adsorber by recycling solid waste generated from a leather production process. CONSTITUTION: A production method of a bio adsorber using collagen of the animal skin comprises the followings steps: crushing solid waste of the animal skin containing collagen; degreasing and decalcifying the crushed solid waste; dipping the degreased and decalcified material into a pickle solution containing vegetable tannin; combining the vegetable tannin with the collagen; fibrillating the fiber structure of the collagen combined with the vegetable tannin; and crushing the fibrillated fiber structure of the collagen.
