Abstract: A coating composition is provided to obtain catechin of green tea leaves with improved in vivo absorption and decreased bitter taste and gastrointestinal disorder of the catechin and improve physical properties and in vivo absorption of isoflavone. A coating composition for oral administration comprises a vegetable oil including 80-92 wt.% of a C18 fatty acid such as stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid and licinoleic acid and 8-12 wt.% of a C16 fatty acid such as palmitic acid and hexadecenoic acid, wherein the vegetable oil is at least one selected from the group consisting of soybean oil, linseed oil and olive oil. The composition is used for coating isoflavone or catechin of green tea leaves. An oral coating formulation comprises: 50-70 wt.% of a core layer including an oral effective ingredient; and 30-50 wt.% of a coating layer formed on the core layer and including the vegetable oil. Further, the vegetable oil is hardened by adding hydrogen.
