Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for fabricating an optical fiber coupler is provided to improve characteristics of the optical fiber coupler by fixing a compression portion of the first type fixing jig to fix firmly the aligned optical fibers. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for fabricating an optical fiber coupler aligns a plurality of optical fibers, connects the optical fiber between a light source portion(20) and a light detection portion(70), and packages the twisted optical fibers to a package portion by using a torch. The apparatus for fabricating the optical fiber coupler includes a compression portion for compressing and fixing the aligned optical fibers or the twisted optical fibers. A rotator is installed at one side of the compression portion in order to rotate the compression portion and twist the aligned optical fibers. A vacuum portion is installed at one side of the compression portion in order to align the optical fibers. An alignment support plate is installed at one side of the compression portion in order to align the optical fibers.
