Abstract: PURPOSE: A bar code reader and a method for reading bar code using the reader is provided to prevent reading a bar code which is not read by confirming the selection for bar code for reading with a double action switch. CONSTITUTION: A bar code module(110) performs a bar code reading. In case a double action switch(120) is operated in step 1, a control unit(130) projects light towards the bar code measured at as described above in order to recognize the location of the bar code. In case the double action switch is operated in step 2, the control unit makes the bar code module read the bar code image. An LED(Light Emitting Diode)(160) projects light toward the bar code to be measured.

Abstract: 바코드를 판독할 수 있는 바코드 리더기에 대한 것이다. 바코드 리더기는, 판독할 바코드를 리딩하는 바코드 모듈과, 2단계 조작이 가능한 더블액션 스위치와, 더블액션 스위치가 1단계 조작되는 경우, 사용자가 측정될 바코드의 위치를 인식할 수 있도록 측정될 바코드를 향하여 빛이 조사되도록 제어하고, 더블액션 스위치가 2단계 조작되는 경우, 바코드 모듈이 바코드 이미지를 리딩하도록 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다. 이에 따라, 리딩해야될 바코드가 정확하게 선택된 것을 사용자가 확인한 다음, 사용자가 더블액션 스위치를 직접 조작하여 바코드 리더기가 바코드를 리딩하게 함으로써 리딩되지 않을 바코드가 리딩되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
