Abstract: PURPOSE: An anti-inflammatory composition using a Hallabong flower extract is provided to suppress NO, iNOS, COX-2, inflammatory cytokine, and PGE2 generation. CONSTITUTION: An anti-inflammatory composition contains a Hallabong flower extract as an active ingredient. The Hallabong flower extract is selected among: an extract which is prepared by dipping Hallabong flowers in 70-90% ethanol solution and extracting; a hot water extract which is prepared by dipping Hallabong flower in water and heating; an extract which is prepared by Hallabong with water and distilling; and a fraction which is prepared by extracting Hallabong in 70-90% ethanol solution and fractioning with ethyl acetate and water.
