Abstract: A method and a system for providing a background image change service are provided to overlay weather background information corresponding to the current weather condition and time background information corresponding to the current time on a background image of a terminal. A system(200) for providing a background change service includes a background information database(201), an information searching unit(202), and an information transmitter(203). The background information database stores weather background information and time background information. The information searching unit searches the background information database for weather background information corresponding to the current weather condition and time background information corresponding to the current time condition. The information transmitter transmits the searched weather background information and the time background information to a terminal. The terminal overlays the weather background information and the time background information on a background image of the terminal according to a background change application.

Abstract: A server and a method for controlling a mobile terminal are provided to control operations of the mobile terminal according to a control request received from a remote place and change a background image of the mobile terminal automatically by using image information according to the control request including the image information stored in a specific category received from a selected web server. A control request receiver(210) receives a control request, for controlling operations of a mobile terminal, from the outside. A remote control signal generator(220) generates a remote control signal according to the control request. A remote signal transmitter(230) controls the operations of the mobile terminal by transmitting the generated remote control signal to the mobile terminal. If the control request receiver receives the control request with image information, the remote control signal generator generates a remote control signal for changing the image information into a background image of the mobile terminal.
