Abstract: Disclosed is an automatic door control method capable of automatically recognizing the kind of a driving motor and automatically controlling the driving motor according to the characteristic of the driving motor. The control method of an automatic door opened or closed by the driving motor comprises a step of driving the driving motor by applying power to the driving motor; a step of detecting an output signal of a sensor; a step of estimating the characteristics of the driving motor using the output signal; and a step of opening or closing the automatic door by controlling the driving motor according to the characteristics of the driving motor, wherein the output signal of the sensor is generated by the driving of the driving motor.
