    Abstract: A remote controlling unit for a portable multimedia device is provided to solve inconvenience that a user carries both the portable multimedia device and the mobile communication terminal by making the remote controlling unit used as a wireless handsfree device. A remote controlling unit for a portable multimedia device comprises a remote controller(210a), a bluetooth chip(210b), a mike, and a USB port. The remote controller(210a) performs a remote control operation about regenerating a signal. The remote controller(210a) has basic function keys for regeneration, temporary stop, stop, search and power on/off, a volume control key, and a call conversion button. The bluetooth chip(210b) which is a call connection unit, sets a call connection channel to the mobile communication terminal by using the bluetooth protocol. The bluetooth chip(210b) includes a transceiver and a bluetooth protocol processor. The mike inputs a voice signal into a main body via an in-line input port or inputs speech signals, to be transmitted, to the bluetooth chip(210b). The USB port receives firmware data from an external device or makes data communication with the main body.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A flash device in a portable terminal is provided to minimize power consumption, to realize miniaturization, and to execute a synchronized operation. CONSTITUTION: A flash device in a portable terminal(10) having a camera(100) comprises a flash driving circuit part(30) and an interface part(200). The flash driving circuit part(30) comprises a voltage step-up part(301), a charging part(302), and a light-emitting part(304). The voltage step-up part(301) steps up a source voltage(VDD) supplied through the interface part(200). The charging part(302) charges the step-up voltage(VUP) as a power source. The light-emitting part(304), in response to a control signal(Ctrl) supplied from the terminal(10), is driven by the charged step-up voltage(VUP). The interface part(200) transfers a power signal(Vin) and the control signal(Ctrl), supplied from the terminal(10), to the flash driving circuit part(30). A jack(20), provided with the interface part(200) and connected to the terminal(10), has a plurality of electrodes extended from the flash driving circuit part(30).
