    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover which eliminates additional work in an assembling work of a bearing device and eliminates breakage trouble of a magnetic encoder part in press-fitting. SOLUTION: In the protective cover 20 for protecting the annular shape magnetic encoder part 16, a cover body 23 is formed by an annular first disc part 21 for covering the annular shape magnetic encoder part 16 and a cylinder part 22 which is extended from the outside diameter end of the first disc part 21 to the axial direction, and fitted to the inner peripheral wall 15b of a recessed part 15. For this cover body 23, a guide part 24 where the diameter is contracted from the upper side far from the bottom part of the recessed part 15 toward the lower side near from the bottom part is formed in the axial direction of an axle shaft A. In the axial direction of the axle shaft A, a spacer F1 and a retainer ring F2 of a rolling bearing device 10 for a wheel which is mounted so as to approach toward the protective cover 20 are guided so as to be centered with respect to the center line of the axle shaft A by the guide part 24.
