    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alumina-silicon carbide based refractory spray material containing a specific quantity of carbonaceous raw material in which peeling and damaging resistance, thermal conductivity, adhesion property and corrosion resistance are improved. SOLUTION: The refractory spray material is obtained by adding 1-15 pts.mass bent copper plate and/or copper alloy plate having 5-25 mm length, 0.01-0.5 mm thickness and aspect ratio (width/length) of 1:2 to 1:10 and a binder into 100 pts.mass refractory raw material composition containing 0.5-10 mass% carbon raw material fine powder and the balance being an alumina based refractory raw material and/or an alumina-silica based refractory raw material and a silicon carbide raw material as main components.
