Abstract:
A firmware update method for nodes of a wireless sensor network is provided to be capable of changing firmware of each node by wirelessly transceiving data, therefore the firmware can be easily and quickly changed, consequently it is easy for function addition and maintenance. Firmware to be updated to a top node via a gateway from a server is transmitted(S10). The firmware is sequentially transmitted by using wireless communication to the lowest node from the top node, and each node records the firmware in self memories(S20). When the recording is completed, boot programs of each node are driven to record the stored firmware in program memories, and the recorded firmware is executed to make each node communicate with peripheral nodes to configure a new network(S40-S60).

Provided is a communication quality measurement method and a portable communication quality measurement device for wireless sensor network configuration. The communication quality measurement method for wireless sensor network configuration includes: a portable communication quality measurement device transmitting a communication quality detection request message to one or more of communication nodes in a wireless sensor network system at a location prepared for new installation; the one or more of the communication nodes in the wireless sensor network system receiving the communication quality detection request message to detect transmission quality information on the communication quality detection request message and adding the detected transmission quality information to a respond message to transmit the respond message to a next communication node; and the portable communication quality measurement device receiving the respond message transceived between the communication nodes to detect reception quality information and displaying the detected reception quality information and transmission quality information included in the respond message.

An RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) measuring method for the configuration of a wireless sensor network and a PRMD(Portable RSSI Measuring Device) are provided to grasp the communication environment exactly at a place expected to install a new communication node by detecting communication quality in actual communication with communication nodes of a wireless sensor network system at the expected place. A PRMD comprises a communication module(14), a display unit(16), a control part(10). The communication module performs communication with communication nodes of a wireless sensor network system. The control part transmits a communication quality detection request message to one or more of the communication nodes of the wireless sensor network system at a place expected to install a new communication node. If a response message containing transmission quality information is received from a communication node, the control part detects reception quality information for the received response message. Also the control part displays the detected reception quality information and the transmission quality information, contained in the received response message, through the display unit.

본 발명은 다수개의 노드들을 포함하는 무선센서 네트워크에 대한 신규 노드의 펌웨어 업데이트 방법에 관한 것이다. 상기 신규 노드의 펌웨어 업데이트 방법은, (a) 상기 신규 노드가, 자신의 수신상태에서 자신의 주위 일정 거리 내에 위치한 이웃노드를 검색하는 단계; (b) 상기 신규 노드가, 상기 검색된 이웃노드 중 부모노드를 설정하는 단계; (c) 상기 다수개의 노드들이 상기 무선센서 네트워크에 신규 노드를 합류시키기 위한 합류 수신상태를 포함하는 경우, 상기 설정된 부모노드 및 상기 신규 노드가 상기 합류 수신상태를 이용하여 제1 통신링크를 설정하는 단계; (d) 상기 설정된 제1 통신링크를 통하여 상기 부모노드의 펌웨어를 상기 신규 노드로 전송하는 단계; 및 (e) 상기 신규 노드가, 상기 부모 노드로부터 전송된 펌웨어를 수신한 경우, 상기 수신한 펌웨어로 기존의 펌웨어를 업데이트하고 상기 업데이트된 펌웨어를 구동하여 상기 무선 네트워크로 합류하는 단계;를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이에 의해 본 발명은 무선센서 네트워크에 신규 노드가 합류되는 경우, 공장으로 수거하지 않고 바로 현장에서 신규 노드의 펌웨어 업데이트를 수행할 수 있다. 무선센서 네트워크, WSN, 펌웨어, 센서노드, 업데이트

PURPOSE: A communication environment monitoring method of a USN system and an apparatus thereof detecting communication environment between nodes are provided to monitor the USN system by performing the detection and guidance of communication environment information between sensor nodes. CONSTITUTION: If a message is received, a plurality of nodes detects RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication). After communication environment information is applied to the message, the message is transmitted according to a communication path. A PRMD(Portable RSSI Measuring Device) is located within a communication range of the node. A control module(100) controls the communication environment information from the received messages.

PURPOSE: A firmware update method of a wireless network node and a firmware update apparatus used for the same are provided to update the firmware of new node by communication with the connected node. CONSTITUTION: A new node searches a neighbor node within a specific distance in a receiving state. The new node sets up a parent node among the searched neighbor node. In case a plurality of nodes includes a joining receiving state for joining new node in wireless network, a communication unit(110) sets up first communication link in a new joining state. A firmware of the parent node is transmitted to the new node through the first communication link. The new node updates the existing firmware in case the transmitted firmware is received.
