    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for screening a material which is useful in controlling nuclear receptor transcription using Sn-SRC gene is provided to study transcriptional mechanism of a specific nuclear receptor. CONSTITUTION: A Stronglocentrotus nudus Sn-SRC has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1 or 2. A Sn-SRC gene encodes the amino acid. A composition for preventing or treating metabolic disease or cancer contains the Sn-SRC protein, fragment, mutant, derivative, allele mutant thereof, or peptide derived from the same. A method for screening a material which suppresses or promotes nuclear receptor and ligand binding comprises: a step of searching and isolating the material which suppresses or promotes nuclear receptor and ligand binding; and a step of measuring the activity of the searched material with respect to the nuclear receptor to select a material which suppresses or promotes nuclear receptor and ligand binding.
