Abstract: PURPOSE: A SOM(Self Oscillating Mixer) type Doppler radar is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost and to simplify a manufacturing process by simplifying a circuit of a Doppler radar. CONSTITUTION: An oscillation/mixing unit(520) is mounted on an insulating substrate to generate and radiate a local oscillation signal and generates an intermediate signal by mixing a high frequency signal and the local oscillation signal. An antenna is used for receiving the high frequency signal reflected from the object. An IF low-pass filter is used for removing a local oscillation component and a high frequency component generated from the oscillation/mixing unit. The IF low-pass filter is used for filtering the intermediate frequency signal. An output unit outputs the intermediate frequency signal from the IF low-pass filter.

Abstract: 본 발명은 하나의 트랜지스터를 이용하여 발진 및 혼합이 동시에 이루어지도록 하여 회로 구성을 단순화할 수 있는 SOM 방식 도플러 레이더에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 SOM 방식 도플러 레이더는 절연 기판; 상기 절연 기판 상에 실장되고 국부 발진 신호를 발생하여 방사하고, 물체로부터 반사되어 도플러 주파수만큼 천이하여 되돌아 온 고주파 신호와 상기 국부 발진 신호를 혼합하여 중간 주파수 신호로 다운 변환하는 발진/혼합부; 상기 발진/혼합부로부터의 상기 국부 발진 신호를 상기 물체로 방사하고 상기 물체로부터 반사되어 온 상기 고주파 신호를 수신하는 안테나; 상기 발진/혼합부로부터의 상기 중간 주파수 신호를 필터링하여 상기 중간 주파수 신호에 포함된 국부 발진 성분 및 고주파 성분을 제거하는 IF 저역 통과 필터; 및 상기 IF 저역 통과 필터로부터의 상기 중간 주파수 신호를 검출하는 출력부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
