Abstract: PURPOSE: A spodoptera exigua larva originated seattacin gene is provided to be used as antibiotic which includes an antibacterial agent by mass producing protein derived from the gene. CONSTITUTION: A spodoptera exigua larva originated seattacin gene is composed of amino acids described in the sequence number 2. The gene coding the atacin protein is composed of the base sequence described in the sequence number 1. A mass-production method of the atacin protein comprises the following steps: transforming a recombinant vector including the seattacin gene into a host cell and over-expressing the seattacin gene. The recombinant vector includes a gene coding the seattacin protein except the signal peptide corresponding to the first to the 17th amino acids among the amino acids described in the sequence number 2.
