Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for wrong wiring detection between a metering out fit (MOF), including a current transformer and a potential transformer, and a power meter. Provided are a connection error detecting apparatus for the MOF and a method which determines connection between a current transformer cell with a voltage transformer cell for the MOF and the power meter by contrasting either a magnetization curve of a current transformer (CT) or a magnetization curve of a potential transformer (PT) for the examined MOF in a state where the MOF is connected to the power meter with the magnetization curve of either the CT or the PT for a previously set MOF.
