Abstract: PURPOSE: A functional wheelchair for transporting a patient is provided to easily transfer a patient to the top and bottom. CONSTITUTION: A functional wheelchair for transporting a patient comprises a main body, a handle unit(3), rear wheels(4), front wheels(5), a saddle(6), a seat back(7), a moving tool, a supporting plate, and a guide plate. The moving tool transfers the saddle to the right and left and top and bottom. The supporting plate supports a hydraulic cylinder. The guide plate is installed in the hydraulic cylinder and guides the saddle to the right and left and top and bottom. An operation unit is installed in the hydraulic cylinder. The guide plate and supporting plate are made of metals or reinforced plastics.
