Abstract: A device for cancelling adaptive noise is provided to remove noise and improve voice by using a weight control method under working environment that is difficult to measure a pure noise source. A device for cancelling adaptive noise comprises a Finite Impulse Response(FIR) filter(100), a transverse line filter(200), an adaptive weight renewal unit(400), a control unit(300) and a restoring filter(600). The FIR filter isolates a high frequency band containing no voice component with respect to an input signal, and performs a pretreatment process for passing only a voice band. The transverse line filter forms weight with respect to the pretreated input signal as a filter coefficient, and performs transverse line filtering. The adaptive weight renewal unit renews weight so that an output signal outputted from the transverse line filter follows a standard signal. The control unit analyzes the output so as to judge if the output signal outputted from the transverse line filter is a voice signal, and controls renewal of the weight. The restoring filter performs filtering of the output signal outputted from the transverse line filter and outputs it.
