PURPOSE: A database conversion method for converting text file searching engineering database to master table for engineering information analysis is provided to convert patent database or patent and engineering information stored at computer file of variable type obtained from engineering database search system to data of master table for patent and engineering information analysis using computer and to provide record medium having a program which performs the database conversion method in computer. CONSTITUTION: A database conversion method for converting text file searching engineering database to master table for engineering information analysis is composed the steps of;selecting a master table according to engineering subject(S100);selecting a conversion object file(S110);judging whether the selected text file is available to convert(S120);enabling a conversion module corresponding to the kind of text file when the selected text file is available to convert(S140);storing a field data at an array set to memory temporarily(S150);checking a record separator(S150);inputting(merge, replace) a repetition record(S160);storing the data stored at the array to a master table(S190);checking that the file is last file(S200);and displaying a conversion result(S210).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for collecting patent information from a patent information search site and registering a user keyword to the collected information is provided to reduce time and effort for collecting the patent information by collectively downloading all desired items from the patent information search site through a download agent program and storing the information in a database. CONSTITUTION: Providing a search condition fixed by a user to a server of the patent information search site, a search result listing the patents fit to the search condition is received from the server and displayed to a computer screen(S16). In response to a download request from the user, a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) of each patent is made by filling a parameter value of a URL template to each patent listed to the search result, and the detail contents of each patent is received from the server by providing the data to the server(S25). The downloaded detail contents are imported to a technical subject database(S26).

PURPOSE: A method for processing data and generating a patent map and a recording medium thereof are provided to automatically output various type of patent maps and statistical graphs based on statistical data of patent and technical information. CONSTITUTION: A data base type of master table is generated by technical subjects in an auxiliary memory means. Search files searched by the technical subjects are automatically converted into data of the master table by computer system. The data of the master table is updated as occasion demands. After the master table is completed, a user activates the master table by selecting a master table corresponding to a technical subject of a patent map the user wants to output. If the user selects a patent map among various types of patent maps such as matrix map, road map, etc., the patent map selected by the user is displayed on a computer screen or outputted to a printer. Various statistical data about the technical subject are displayed on the screen or outputted to the printer in the form of two or three dimensional graph by the user's selection.

PURPOSE: A method for creating a patent map is provided to automatically create a matrix form of the patent map by storing various patent and technology information that are gathered through various patent technology search systems in an analyzation master table and using a computer to fabricate the data stored in the master table, to supply an automatic creation of spread shift files from the master table that are necessary for creating a matrix form of road map using the spread shift, and to supply a record medium for computer that enables the creation of patent map in the computer. CONSTITUTION: A master table automatically converts and receives the text files that were downloaded from the patent technology search system(S10). A program that embodies this patent's method is executed while the master table is stored in the subsidiary memory device, which is similar to the hard disk(S20). The user selects the patent map creation conditions from the condition selection menu, orders for the patent map creation by clicking the map output button(S30), and reads the selected patent map selection conditions(S40). The selected output category is examined to determine an axis of coordinates that will become the additional technology code(S50). If the axis of coordinates needs to become an additional technology code, the master table and additional technology code table are combined to create a temporary combination table(S60). The patent map is examined to determine an axis of coordinates that will become the application submitter(S70). If an axis of coordinates needs to become the application submitter, the master field's application submitter field's data is grouped, application submitter table is created and stored in the hard disk(S80). The user extracts the data that satisfies the patent map creation conditions from the master table or the temporary combination table(S90).
