Abstract: A method for preparing dimethyl ether by using a single fluidized bed reactor is provided to proceed methanol synthesis and dyhydration reaction at the same time by using a particle segregation characteristic, to save the costs according to large-size device, and to improve the yield. A method for preparing dimethyl ether by using a single fluidized bed reactor comprises the steps of: pulverizing a methanol synthesis catalyst and a dehydration catalyst to different sizes so that fluidization speeds of the pulverized catalyst particles are different; filling the pulverized catalyst particles within one fluid bed reactor(100) so that the fluidization speed of the pulverized synthesis catalyst particles makes higher than that of the dehydration catalyst particles; and converting dimethyl ether by flowing the source gas containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen over a minimum fluidization speed which is a minimum speed showing the phenomenon that catalyst particles act like the fluid.
