본 발명은 RabG3bCA를 이용한 형질전환된 나무 및 이의 용도에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 형질전환된 나무는 애기장대의 RabG3b의 자가포식을 통해 목관부의 성장을 조절하는 기능이 포플러 나무의 성장에도 관여하고, 특히 제지, 펄프의 질을 결정하는 가장 중요한 요소인 섬유세포의 길이가 증가함을 확인함으로써, 산업적 이용 가치를 지닌다.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A wood transformed using RabG3bCA is provided to enhance the length of fibrous cells which determines the quality of pulp. CONSTITUTION: A wood is transformed with a RabG3b active type mutant, that is RabG3bCA. The RabG3bCA gene has a base of sequence number 1. RabG3b is derived from Arabidopsis thaliana. The transgenic wood has enhanced cellulose and glucose contents. The length of the transgenic wood is longer than the length of a wild type wood.

A GLIP1(GDSL motif lipase 1) gene and its protein having plant resistance against fungi are provided to confer resistance against fungi through two different mechanisms related to direct destruction of fungi pores and activation of defense signal transfer of plant related to ethylene on a plant. The GLIP1 gene having plant resistance against fungi has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1. The GLIP1 protein encoded by the GLIP1 gene has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2. The plant resistance against fungi of the GLIP1 gene or protein is conferred on a plant by treating the plant with the GLIP1 protein of SEQ ID NO:2 or transforming the plant with a vector pBI221-GLIP1 containing the GLIP1 gene of SEQ ID NO:1.

A mutant of RabG3b protein has a sequence in which 67th residue is substituted from glutamine to leucine. The RabG3b gene has a base sequence of sequence number 2 or 3. An expression vector for enhancing plant biomass comprises a nucleic acid encoding RabG3b gene which is operatively linked to one or more regulatory genes which promotes plant biomass-associated gene expression.

CONSTITUTION: A composition for regulating plant immunity contains a protein having an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1. A composition contains a gene encoding the protein of sequence number 1. The gene sequence is denoted by sequence number 2. The immune reaction is an immune reaction to fungal toxin and plant pathogen. The fungal toxin is Fumonisin B 1 (FB1). The plant pathogen is Alternaria brassicicola or Pseudomonas syringae. A transgenic plant of plant disease-resistance is obtained by transforming a promoter which is active in plants and nucleotide sequence with a fusion gene.

A composition comprising an MsrB3(Methionine Sulfoxide Reductase B3) gene or its protein is provided to increase tolerance against cold and oxidative stress, and reduce the contents of MetO(Methionine sulfoxide) and ROS(reactive oxygen species) increased at low temperature in plants, so that the production amount and yield of plants are increased. A composition for increasing increase tolerance against cold and oxidative stress in plants comprises an MsrB3 gene encoding the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2 or a protein encoded thereby. The tolerance against cold and oxidative stress in plants is increased by transforming a host cell with a recombinant vector containing the MsrB3 gene, and overexpressing the MsrB3 gene in the host cell.
