Abstract: PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing a Perilla frutescens extract or benzo[b]naphtha[2,3-d]thiophene isolated from the extract for preventing or treating neuronal diseases is provided to suppress acetylcholine esterase(AChE), and to effectively prevent, treat, or relieve Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and neurodegenerative diseases. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating neuronal diseases contains a Perilla frutescens extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared by using an organic solvent, water, or a mixture thereof. The extract is an ethanol extract. The extract is also an ethyl acetate fraction which is prepared by extracting with ethanol and sequentially fractioning a residue of the Perilla frutescens extract with hexane, chloroform, and ethyl acetate. The extract is a fraction which is prepared by performing silicagel column chromatography using chloroform and ethanol in a ratio of 100:0-80:20. The extract also contains benzo[b]naphtha[2,3-d]thiophene.

Abstract translation: 目的：提供从用于预防或治疗神经元疾病的提取物中分离出的紫苏提取物或苯并[b]石脑油[2,3-d]噻吩的药物组合物，以抑制乙酰胆碱酯酶（AChE），并有效预防，治疗 ，或缓解阿尔茨海默病，痴呆和神经变性疾病。 构成：用于预防或治疗神经元疾病的药物组合物含有紫苏提取物作为活性成分。 提取物通过使用有机溶剂，水或其混合物制备。 提取物是乙醇提取物。 提取物也是乙酸乙酯级分，其通过用乙醇萃取并用己烷，氯仿和乙酸乙酯依次分馏紫苏提取物的残余物制备。 提取物是通过使用氯仿和乙醇以100:0-80:20的比例进行硅胶柱色谱法制备的级分。 提取物还含有苯并[b]石脑油[2,3-d]噻吩。
