Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for transforming a display image according to ambient light. The method comprises the steps of: detecting the illumination of the surrounding environment; changing the brightness of an image to be displayed according to the detected illumination of the surrounding environment; and performing a flare compensating process of compensating for the saturation of the image to be displayed using the detected illumination of the surrounding environment and the chromaticity coordinates of a preset white point and transforming colors, which are beyond a preset color range among the colors of the saturation-compensated image, using colors within the preset color range.
