Abstract:
PURPOSE: A handover method in a local area wireless network and a communication system thereof are provided to support the mobility in a local area wireless network and improve the transmission performance thereof. CONSTITUTION: A mobility management server(420) is connected to the Internet or Intranet(410). In addition, the mobility management server connects plural AP(Access Points) through the Internet or Intranet, wherein the plural APs exists in the internal network managed by the server. Furthermore, the mobility management server manages not only the locations of a mobile server but also the access addresses of the APs, and controls the allocation of the wireless channel for the mobile terminal. When being placed in an intrinsic service domain, the mobile terminal uses one wireless interface to form the wireless channel with the APs which provide the communication service for the corresponding service domain.

PURPOSE: A hand over supporting method and system thereof are provided to maintain the connection of an AP through the same channel without changing a channel of a terminal. CONSTITUTION: A mobile management apparatus(210) allocates a plurality of channels according to AP time. The mobile management apparatus controls the change of a channel. An AP(230) maintains the selected one channel. If the fixed channel holding time is completed, the AP changes the selected channel according to the fixed.

본 발명은 무선 통신 시스템에서의 핸드오버 지원 방법 및 시스템에 관한 것으로, 특히, 무선 통신 시스템에서 단말에 대한 핸드오버를 지원하는 방법에 있어서, 이동 관리 장치와 연동하여 시간에 따라 변경되는 복수의 채널들을 할당하는 과정; 상기 할당된 복수의 채널들 중 하나의 채널을 미리 설정된 채널 유지 시간 동안 유지하는 과정; 및 상기 미리 설정된 채널 유지 시간이 종료되면 미리 설정된 순서에 따라 다음으로 선택된 채널로 변경하는 과정을 포함한다.
