    Abstract: PURPOSE: A plankton measuring device using a free buoy is provided to easily and accurately measure the amount of plankton included in seawater. CONSTITUTION: A plankton measuring device using a free buoy comprises a body(10), a light emitting unit(20), a light receiving unit(30), an analysis unit, and a buoyancy converting member. The body includes an inlet where seawater flows in and a space unit where the seawater has flown is stored. The light emitting unit is joined to the body and irradiates lights toward the seawater stored in the storing unit. The light receiving unit is joined to the body and receives the lights penetrated through the seawater after being irradiated by the light emitting unit. The analysis unit analyzes the light received by the light receiving unit, thereby calculating the amount of the plankton included in the seawater. The buoyancy converting member converts buoyancy supplied to the body.
